Air Arabia adds Düsseldorf as third Germany destination from Sharjah
New service will connect travellers with North Rhine-Westphalia and neighbouring Dutch regions
SHARJAH – Air Arabia will launch daily non-stop flights between Sharjah and Düsseldorf from December 16, 2026, adding another major European connection to its growing network.
The German city will become the airline’s third destination in Germany from Sharjah, following Munich and Frankfurt. The new service will provide direct connectivity between the UAE and one of Germany’s key economic and cultural centres.
The route will be operated using an Airbus A320neo, offering passengers a modern cabin while supporting greater operational efficiency and improved fuel performance. The launch also expands Air Arabia’s European footprint from Sharjah as the carrier continues to add destinations to its network.
New connection
The service will operate throughout the week, with flights scheduled at different times depending on the day.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, flight G9 412 will depart Sharjah at 3:30pm and arrive in Düsseldorf at 8:05pm. The return flight, G9 413, will leave Düsseldorf at 8:55pm and reach Sharjah at 6:35am the following day.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flight G9 403 will depart Sharjah at 8:10am, arriving in Düsseldorf at 12:45pm. The return service, G9 404, will depart Düsseldorf at 1:35pm and arrive in Sharjah at 11:15pm.

European reach
With Düsseldorf added to its schedule, Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah will include Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, Rome, Frankfurt, Katowice and Gdansk.
The new service is also expected to strengthen access to Air Arabia’s wider network for travellers from North Rhine-Westphalia and neighbouring regions in the Netherlands.
Düsseldorf Airport CEO Lars Redeligx said the new daily connection would strengthen existing links between the airport and the Middle East and Gulf region, while opening access to Air Arabia’s network across the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Passenger services
Air Arabia operates an all-Airbus fleet comprising A320 and A321 aircraft. Alongside its network of direct routes, the airline provides passengers with complimentary in-flight streaming through SkyTime and an onboard menu through SkyCafe.
Travellers can also access Air Rewards, the carrier’s loyalty programme, as part of its passenger offering.
Bookings for the new Sharjah-Düsseldorf flights are now available through Air Arabia’s website, call centre and travel agencies.
